To kick off summer and in honor of Memorial Day weekend, the Kenmore brand teamed up with TV cooking star Bobby Deen to serve up three home-style breakfast recipes to servicemen, women and their families on aboard the iconic Intrepid Sear Air & Space Museum in New York City. The three recipes served were among recipes submitted by home cooks on cookmore.com. Cookmore allows users to easily create custom cookbooks, upload recipes, search for favorite ingredients and explore the recipe library built by everyday cooks, acclaimed chefs and more. Moreover, for each recipe submitted generated a $5 donation to Heroes at Home to support military members and their families.

Bobby shared two of his favorite summertime recipes and participated in a friendly cooking competition with Coast Guard Chef, FS2 Rob Runn. As honored military guests and their families enjoyed breakfast, they voted on their favorite recipe and crowned the Grand Prize Winning recipe: Nacho Mama’s Chorizo Casserole! Home cook Merry, recipe developer and mother of a former sailor, is the winner of a trip to the Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival and will have her recipe featured in the limited edition Kenmore 100th Anniversary cookbook.
