The formula is pretty simple. Take one part toasted marshmallow, one part melted chocolate, and one part graham cracker and you have yourself on of the best campfire treats ever! Smore’s are part of the nostalgia of growing up but why not make this childhood treat with an adult spin? Here are two new ideas that I whipped up to delight all your sugary cravings. Happy Eating!

Smore’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Sammies

Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter
¾ cup sugar
¾ cup packed light brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 ¼ cup AP flour
1 tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
1 pkg. semi sweet chocolate chips
1 pkg. jumbo marshmallows
1 bar Hershey’s milk chocolate

Directions:
Preheat oven to *375. Cream butter, sugars, and vanilla in your Kenmore stand mixer. Add eggs and beat well. In a separate bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and salt. Turn mixer to low speed and slowly add in dry ingredients the stir in chocolate chips. Drop dough onto ungreased cookie sheet by the tablespoon full and bake for 8-10 minutes until light golden brown. Cool on wire rack. When cookies are completely cool, place Hershey’s bar in the microwave for 20 second intervals until melted completely. Set aside. Toast marshmallow over gas stove carefully using a wooden skewer. Assemble sandwiches by spreading melted chocolate onto one side of a cookie then top with toasted marshmallow and an additional cookie. Have plenty of paper towels on hand because it might get a bit messy…but it’s so worth it!
