100 Years of Kenmore in New York
It’s finally spring and the weather outside is delightful. Well at least it was this past week in New York. I had to go out there to do a cooking demo for the Kenmore 100 Year Anniversary event held at the fabulous MPE Penthouse and I am proud to announce that it was a complete success! I arrived on Wednesday to see the layout of the space and chat with the caterers who would be re-creating my dishes and passing them out to the crowds. The lineup was quite impressive with some of the most recognized bloggers from New York including Mashable, The Restaurant Fairy, Style and Pepper, NYC Through My Eyes, and so many more delightful attendees.
I’ve always get a little twinge of nerves before jumping on stage to cook for people, especially when they are food writers from New York, but I let them know this menu was about memories and that’s what I wanted you all to take away from that night was a great memory. These women were amazing. They were smart, beautiful, and full of zest so they made me feel right at ease while I carried on with my gazillion stories to boast about food and other experiences. The menu consisted of my Edamame and Asparagus Hummus, Chicken Milanese with Arugula and Lemon Parmesan Vinaigrette, and my favorite Bananas Foster Milkshakes with Rum Floaters. Simple and easy, but engaging enough to have the crowd play along and feel at home.
I want to say thank you to everyone who was in attendance and everyone who supported me and made me feel welcome. Job well done Kenmore! So blessed that you are in my life.
Happy Eating!
