“This Hot & Sweet Bacon Banh mi was created exclusively for the bacon challenge. A little sass was added to the bacon by candying it and adding crushed red pepper, this is combined with a great baguette, coleslaw and my ginger and garlic peanut sauce topped with curly scallions.”

Here’s the inspiration behind this decadent recipe:
“A Bacon Sicilian Explosion! Close your eyes and travel with me to the corner bakery in Northern Italy where the cannolis are fresh and the gelatos are being mixed and served with an espresso. A wonderful treat for any patron, however lets pair the succulent flavors of Bacon! Now our gelato is mixed with soft sweet praline bacon candy and walnuts with hints of toasted coffee, cinnamon and an essence of fennel. Our Bacon Cocoa rimmed cannoli is deep fried and filled with fresh goat ricotta, maple bacon, Madagascar vanilla bean and a marriage between Kahla & mascarpone. Lets not forget, our Disaronno marinated espresso glazed bacon shot, with a cherry on top! No need for a passport you can have this by my following this recipe. Buon Appetito!”
