  • 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 3/4 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoons cayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 4 taco shells, warmed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 2 tablespoons onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tomato, chopped
  • taco sauce


Step 1

Crumble the ground beef into a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish and cover with glass lid. Cook in the microwave for five minutes on High. Drain and stir in chili powder, salt, garlic powder, cayenne pepper and water. Cover and return to the microwave to cook for another three to four minutes on High.

Step 2

Fill each taco shell with about 2 tablespoons of the ground beef and then top with your desired amounts of cheese, lettuce, onion, tomato and taco sauce.
