Ever since Pantone released its colors of the year — Rose Quartz and Serenity — a couple of months ago, we’ve been contemplating how to incorporate these beautiful tones into our everyday lives.

Why these two colors? According to Pantone, “as consumers seek mindfulness and well-being as an antidote to modern day stresses, welcoming colors that psychologically fulfill our yearning for reassurance and security are becoming more prominent. Joined together, Rose Quartz and Serenity demonstrate an inherent balance between a warmer embracing rose tone and the cooler tranquil blue, reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace.”

Relaxation and tranquility in our homes is something we’re all striving for…sounds especially appealing in the context of housework!

We have a few appliances that match up with the 2016 Pantone colors, such as these upright vacuums in deep cherry or blue hues. We also offer canister vacuums in jeweled purple or champagne tones if cleaning wands are more your style.

The new Pantone colors are making us feel a little nostalgic for those whimsical colors we offered in the past, such as soft pink laundry pairs and ovens, turquoise refrigerators and sewing machines, yellow cooktops and more.
