Strawberry Toaster Tarts

Toaster tarts are such a nostalgic childhood treat. These homemade versions are so satisfying to make with your kids, and perfect to keep in the freezer and easily pop in your toaster oven.

2 puff pastry sheets thawed and cold

1 pounds fresh strawberies roughly chopped

0.5 cup honey

1 tablespoons water

1 egg beaten

Step 1

Heat the oven to 375 degrees. Take a cookie sheet and place some parchment on top and spray it with oil.

Step 2

Take a small sauce pot and add the strawberries, honey and water. Cook down until the strawberries turn into a thick, jammy consistency.

Step 3

Take each sheet of puff pastry and cut them into quarters. Take about 1 tablespoon of the strawberry filling and add it to the center of four sheets. Take the other four sheets of cut-out puff pastry, place them on top and seal the edges with a fork.

Step 4

Take the egg and brush the tops of the tarts, then bake in the oven until golden brown for about 25 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes before eating
