If you live near or are planning on attending the world-famous Iowa State Fair in Des Moines, next weekend (August 8–10, 2013) we are continuing our search for the best home-cooked recipes, as part of our 100th Anniversary celebration!
Summertime calls for cooking with fresh, local ingredients — bringing the garden to the table is one of the many blessings of summer. Which is why we’ll be looking for the best “Honored Harvest Time Recipes” at the fair, and rewarding the blue-ribbon winning recipe with some incredible prizes, including:
- A $5,000 Kenmore kitchen appliance makeover
- A trip to New York to the Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival
- A feature in the limited edition Kenmore 100th anniversary cookbook
- For each recipe submitted, Sears will make a $5 donation to Heroes at Home and Rebuilding Together efforts
