0.5 cup all-purpose flour

0.25 cup old-fashioned oats

0.25 cup brown sugar

0.5 teaspoons cinnamon powder

1 tablespoons butter

4 tablespoons creamy peanut butter

2 granny smith apples

0.25 cup brown sugar

2 tablespoons crystallized ginger chopped

0.25 cup raisins

2 tablespoons water

Step 1

Position an oven rack in the center of the oven and preheat the oven to 375F. Soak raisins in 2 tablespoons of water.

Step 2

Make topping. In a medium bowl, mix flour, oats, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Add the butter and peanut butter. Work it in with your fingertips until well blended and crumbly.

Step 3

Make filling. Drain raisins on paper towel completely. Cut each apple into four. Peel, core and slice thinly.

step 4

In a 8xc8 baking dish, place sliced apples, raisins, brown sugar and crystallized ginger and mix to coat evenly. Sprinkle with the topping.

Step 5

Bake until the apples are bubbling and the topping is browned, about 35 minutes. Let cool slightly and serve warm, or at room temperature, with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
