Kenmore Honored Harvest Time entry by Barb Schults, Iowa State Fair

November 5, 2013 by Kenmore

Italian steak is a very special recipe to me because my husband & I both recreated the recipe together. My husband had told me for 3-4 years how his father cooked steak with a sauce that was always a favorite dish at his house. His father had died before we met so there wasn’t a way to get the recipe. We have been eating Italian steak for over 12 years & we both still love it. I finally said lets try to make it. He told me what he thought some of the spices were. He kept tasting & each time I made it we would add more of some spices & possibly less of others. As the years pass, I have started using Italian seasoning instead of individual spices.
