Microwave Baked Potato

No oven needed, you can get the taste of a slowly baked potato in just minutes.

1 russet potatoes large

1 tablespoons butter

3 tablespoons shredded cheddar cheese

3 tablespoons sour cream


Step 1

Scrub the potato clean and poke holes several times in various areas with a fork.

Step 2

Cook on high power in the microwave for five minutes. Turn over and continue to cook for five more minutes. When the potato is soft, remove from the microwave and cut lengthwise.

Step 3

Season with salt and pepper and mash up the inside using a fork. Top the open sides with butter and two tablespoons of cheese. Return to the microwave and cook for about one more minute to melt the cheese. Top with the remaining cheese and sour cream.
