Many utilities have special offers and rebates on ENERGY STAR certified refrigerators – plus additional rebates to help recycle your old one.
How to save the planet
Greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and nitrous oxide (N2O) trap heat and consequently warm the planet. The largest source of greenhouse gas emissions originating from human activity is the burning of fossil fuels for transportation, heat, and electricity. Other greenhouse gases like chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and hydrofluorocarbons (HCFCs and HFCs) can be found in the refrigerant used in refrigerators, freezers, air conditioner units, and dehumidifiers. You can reduce your carbon footprint when you purchase energy efficient products and properly dispose of your old appliances.
