It’s time to toss the can of frosting because there is no excuse to make this light and fluffy treat from scratch! I’ve also add a couple of my favorite flavor variations in the directions section below. Let me know how your cake turns out and as always..Happy Eating!!
17 per serving
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter,, softened
- 4 tablespoons heavy cream
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cup powdered sugar
In a Kenmore stand mixer, beat the butter for 3 minutes on medium high until light and fluffy. Add in the vanilla and heavy cream. Turn the mixer to slow and carefully add in the powdered sugar. If the frosting is too stiff, add in a bit more heavy cream till a creamy consistency is achieved. If you would like to flavor your buttercream, you can add food coloring or fold in fruit.
