4 tablespoons heavy cream

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 cup powdered sugar

In a Kenmore stand mixer, beat the butter for 3 minutes on medium high until light and fluffy. Add in the vanilla and heavy cream. Turn the mixer to slow and carefully add in the powdered sugar. If the frosting is too stiff, add in a bit more heavy cream till a creamy consistency is achieved. If you would like to flavor your buttercream, you can add food coloring or fold in fruit. Below are some variations to the original. Nutella frosting- fold in 1/2 cup nutella Raspberry frosting- fold in 1/2 cup raspberry preserves Lemon Poppyseed frosting- whip in 2 Tbsp. lemon juice and 1 Tbsp. poppyseed
